When our troop learned of this event most of our troop was busy that week for regents and finals, but the majority of us had taken the time out of our studying knowing we we're doing something for a good cause. Once we had gotten their we had listened to speeches by members of troop 2, someone sent by the state and our very own Steven.
Following this the princess of Port Richmond had sung the National anthem and then troop 2 had lit the fire. We then laid down our flags in it along with troop two's which took us around an hour. Before we left we had helped clean up the area.
